Microsoft MVP for the third year

Dear Tomas Dabasinskas,Электродрели и шуруповерты

Congratulations! We are pleased to present you with the 2012 Microsoft® MVP Award! This award is given to exceptional technical community leaders who actively share their high quality, real world expertise with others. We appreciate your outstanding contributions in Windows Expert-Consumer technical communities during the past year.

The text above is from the email I’ve got a week ago. The email, I was anxiously waiting for a while. I have been Microsoft MVP for two years and I was hoping to get the award for the third year, during July selection. And that happened! I’m MVP for the third year in Windows Expert-Consumer category.

I am really looking forward to this new year, hoping I will manage to give myself to MVP activities even more then the years before. This is the year Windows 8 will be released so, as Windows Expert-Consumer MVP, it should bring be a lot of opportunities for activities.

And as every year, I would like to thank you, Microsoft, for the award and opportunity to be part of this great community. Thanks!

Baltic MVP Summit

On 11th -12th days of February I was able to participate in Baltic MVP Summit which took place at Radisson Blu Hotel Latvija in Riga, Latvia. Me excluded, there also were 3 more MVPs from Lithuania, 3 MVPs from Latvia and 5 MVPs from Estonia. There also were couple of DPEs and Alessandro Teglia, CEE MVP Lead, himself.

At the first day of the summit, we started with little introduction. Each of us named our MVP expertise, things we are doing as MVPs and what we expect from this summit. After the launch, we’ve got nice presentation from Alessandro about MVP program. After his presentation, user group presentations took place. I’ve shortly introduced MugIT community/UG which I am one of the two leaders of. Sergėjus Barinovas showed a presentation about another user group in Lithuania that he is running – .NET UG. Estonians talked about the project they have running – Eneta. After a coffee break we had a discussion about GITCA, INETA, UGSS and value of those organizations for user groups. After all official activities for that day were over, we went to restaurant “Garage” where we had really tasty dinner, some wine and lots of chatting about various things.

The new beginning

Since July 2010 I’m one of Microsoft`s MVPs in Windows Desktop Experience category. I’m really exited about this award and ready to work even more to keep MVP status for more than a year.

Currently, I have a local blog named WinBlog. Also I write a lot to our local community portal named MugIT, which I’m one of the co-founders of . Since I would like to reach a wider audience, I decided to have this little blog where I could share my knowledge in English. While I try to share as much content as I can on my local sites, I’m thinking of writing less here but keeping my posts more informative and useful. Most articles here should be technical and related to my MVP category – Windows Desktop Experience.

By the way, as you’ve probably already noticed, my English is far from perfect. but hope you will be able to understand everything. Feel free to correct my spelling/grammar in the comments since it would help me to improve my English.Штукатурка стен цементно песчаным раствором

So, that was a little introduction of this blog and myself. See you all in the next post.
